RENT-A-BENCH

Using our rent-a-bench service you can bring your bike in and rent one of our workstations making use of our fully-equipped workshop so you can carry out any service, maintenance, repair, or modification works on your bike using your own fair hands. You also get the benefit of having our mechanics on hand should you need a little advice or to ask a quick question.

We can accommodate any size and model of bike, and we have varying levels of support we can offer you depending on whether you are experienced at working on your bike, or a complete novice. For those that are less experienced working on bikes but who want to learn, it gives you the opportunity to get stuck in and have a go, knowing that if you get stuck our team of mechanics are on hand. For those more experienced with working on bikes, it gives you the facility to just crack on with the work you want to do in a suitable fully equipped environment and without having to rearrange your own garage to make the space to do it at home or to wait for the mechanics to fit it into their list of jobs to do.

Reasons for using Rent-A-Bench:

  • Save money by doing the labour yourself
  • Ability to carry out all the work you want to do without having to invest in tools/workbenches
  • Reassuring peace of mind knowing that the job has been done to your own standards
  • Learn more about your bike and looking after it mechanically
  • Acquire new skills
  • Learn how to do jobs on your bike you previously wouldn’t have wanted to take on, knowing our mechanics are on hand for advice if needed
  • Build your own bike without it taking your garage space at home, whether it be converting a road bike into something custom such as a café racer, or be it a full strip and rebuild or restoration of a bike to learn all about it from the ground up or bring it back to life (we can even put packages together including storage in between your visits to the workshop)
  • Trackday / race bike preparation

All our workstations have hydraulic workbenches, tool cabinets and general tools, workbench space, and various paddock stands and lifts, with specialist tools and equipment such as air compressor, tyre changer, ultrasonic cleaner also available for you to use.

We will require 48hrs notice of what parts you need, and payment for these parts will be required at time of bench booking. Training Courses

We also run regular basic maintenance courses on an evening and weekend to give you an opportunity to come into the workshop environment and get a hands-on experience of doing basic safety checks and maintenance on your bike while using one of our training bikes.
