RUNNING WEBER 45 DCOE CARB

12 MONTH MOT AT TIME OF SALE

6k MILES

HPI CLEAR (REPORT INCLUDED)

Here we have a bike previously sold by us as an ongoing project in the summer of 2017. The buyer has only ridden the bike a handful of times and has not had the opportunity to continue the project on, so it is now back up for sale.

The bike is a Yamaha MT-01 which has had the fuel injection system removed and been replaced with the Weber 45DCOE carbs making it really stand out from the crowd. It has also had the exhausts modified so that they are straight pipes down to the floor. The bike sounds like a Spitfire when running, just sucking in massive gulps of air through the carbs, and firing out flames and pops and bangs through the exhaust.

We actually took this bike over to the 2017 Ulster GP on the back of our American truck and the attention it received was phenomenal. Everyone wanted to come have a look at it, ask what it was, and to hear it running. Its definitely not a bike for the shy retiring type.

What lets the bike down at the moment is the cosmetics. Previous owners modified the seat unit / rear subframe to create the single seat that you now see on the bike. Although usable like it is, it would really benefit from being remodeled. Also the paint on the frame and wheels is a little scratched in places and the paint on the bodywork was just rattle can done. Our objective with it was that once we had finished the mechanical transformation, which we did, we would then totally strip the bike down to bare frame and get the frame and swingarm etc powder coated, and all the bodywork professionally painted, so that we could make it a real show piece. Unfortunately we never got the time to do this so we sold it as a project for someone else to complete, but something which they could run and ride in the meantime. And now the buyer hasn’t had the time either. If not sold, and we get the time, then we may complete the build ourselves, but for now its available for sale.

The bike has aftermarket clocks fitted so the mileage on them is not correct. However we have done an MOT check with the DVLA website and its showing that the bike looks to have only done 6k miles from new;

2009 – 3,289 miles
2010 – 4,307 miles
2015 – 5,004 miles
2016 – 282 miles (new clocks)

The bike comes with V5, a brand new MOT certificate (12 months from purchase) and a print out of the bikes MOT history. It will be given a full service and Pre-Delivery Inspection (PDI) from ourselves. Due to this being sold as a project, and due to the modified nature of the bike, it is sold with no warranty.

Come and have a look and see it for yourself. The kettle is always on at our showroom.
