Welcome to the listing for this fabulous custom built Goldwing.

A genuine UK bike, and previously owned and modified by a Mr Zanelli who worked at Renault F1 in Buckingham. He then exported the bike with him to Fort Lauderdale, Florida, when work took him out there, and then brought it back to the UK with him when he returned here once again, having owned the bike since 2006.

Mr Zanelli carried out a lot of customisation work on the Goldwing to turn it in to something unique. The main aspects of styling which have been changed are the custom built wheels, especially the wider front wheel enabling a fat front tyre to be fitted. The wheels are like new and are understood to be aluminium rims with stainless spokes. To add to this the bike has also had the front mudguard removed and replaced with a lovely fork brace (very rare to see on classic Goldwings) The other main alteration is the seating unit and handlebars, adjusting the riding position. The seat itself is actually a Harley Davidson Sportster seat which has been modified to fit. I actually think it looks pretty good on the bike and suits it well. The shape and style of the handlebars has then been changed also to help achieve the different riding position.

When the bike came to us it had been unused and off the road for a number of years. We have been through the bike front to back, top to bottom, restoring / refurbishing parts as we went. All the brake calipers have been stripped, painted, and rebuilt with new seals, and new pistons in the front calipers. Front discs re-finished. Carbs stripped, cleaned, and rebuilt. New Biltwell grips fitted. New tacho / rev counter cable. Front forks stripped and rebuilt with new seals and oil, and fitted with progressive springs to help make the bike handle better, and more inline with the new cafe racer styling of the bike. We have also fitted a set of used Jardine exhausts to the bike which we have taken from a previous Goldwing project of ours. New front tyre fitted. Replaced the headlight and brackets for better condition used ones we had.

The bike also benefits from being fitted with a Dyna S Electronic Ignition System

The bike comes with a load of old paperwork and invoices for parts and works previously done on the bike (includes most recent invoice from 2012 for a new clutch installed which is an engine out job). 11 old tax discs from 1997 to 2007. V5 registrataion document, and some previous MOT’s.

The bike has been given a full service by ourselves and will be given a fresh MOT at time of sale. It will also undergo our standard PDI (Pre-Delivery-Inspection) prior to leaving us.

As the bike is just about to turn 40 years old, when it does you will be able to change the V5  classification to a “Historic Vehicle” therefore no future MOT’s will be required by law, and it should qualify for free road tax.
